Reading chat in a browser tab costs several hundred megabytes and a surprising amount of GPU time while you are trying to encode video. Chatterino is a native client that does the same job for far less.

Split panes are the feature that matters once you are moderating or watching more than one channel. Emote support covers the third-party providers Twitch itself does not.
